My Background
• Born in Spring Valley, Bureau County and proudly rooted in the 76th District of the Illinois River Valley.
• Lifelong resident of LaSalle County and part of a five-generation family from Peru, Illinois .
• A devoted wife, mother and proud Army mother-in-law (82nd Airborne Division), I believe strong families are the cornerstone of a thriving community.
• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Colorado State University and have built a professional career in higher education, serving in distance learning roles at both Pikes Peak Community College and Pueblo Community College.
• Coordinated fundraising campaigns and donor outreach efforts as a Development Coordinator for a non-profit.
• Stepped into public service out of deep concern for the direction of our state and nation.
• Committed to representing everyday citizens and restoring trust in government.
Community Relations
I'm running to serve my community and address local concerns. Through canvassing, I've seen our towns' economic struggles. I actively engage with local issues, like questioning city decisions and advocating for accountability, to be a voice for our community.

Illinois has many hardworking public servants, but Republicans are outnumbered—and that must change. As a Republican grassroots candidate, Crystal Loughran is running an uphill race, but she is ready for the challenge. She pledges to be open, honest, and relentless in standing up for taxpayers. Crystal will work to slow the growth of over-governance and keep citizens informed about legislation that affects their lives.
